Painter / Theatre Director

Artist who travels the world creating projects that bring together Theatre and Visual Arts.  
MAX SIR (Viña del Mar, Chile). Visual Artist and Theatre Director. He has developed his artwork in New York, Moscow, Berlin, Costa Rica, Washington DC, London, Athens, Lviv, Paris and Prague. He’s been awarded many National Painting Awards and has had numerous solo exhibitions internationally; among them "The voices of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz" at the IDB Gallery in Washington DC (2016); “Alice on the threshold” in Prague, Czech Republic (2017); Alice by Max Sir in London (2018). His series of paintings ALICE by Max Sir was produced in various countries in Europe and selections of its body of 144 artworks toured Europe and have been exhibited in Berlin, Prague, Paris, Athens, London, and most recently were part of the Salon International d’Art Contemporain at Carrousel du Louvre (Paris, May 2018). He has played lead roles, developed theatre scripts and several visual projects in NYC. His theatre play ALICIA had its world premiere in 2017 at the most important private theatre in Central America, Teatro Espressivo (Costa Rica). ALICIA was conceived, directed, co-written and fully designed by Max Sir. His last play HAMLET  -full design and concept, co-director- had its world premiere in Ukraine, in Ukrainian language,  at the International Theatre Festival Kit Gavatovicha (Ukraine); HAMLET, the graphic novel, was presented at Comic Con Ukraine and at Book Forum Lviv in 2018 and will be released on April 2019.

Max is currently residing in Ukraine, developing art books and a new series of paintings inspired by traditional Ukrainian Culture.
