Max Sir International Film Festival

An international art film festival, founded by Max Sir
The Max Sir International Film Festival is an international platform dedicated to art-focused cinema, founded by Max Sir to bring films about art, theatre and creative process to audiences around the world. The festival's competitive categories include narrative short films, documentary shorts about the process of making art, animation, and recordings of theatre showcases.

Its first edition was held in Costa Rica and quickly became the most talked-about festival of its kind in the country, gathering more than 3,000 filmmaker groups from over 140 countries. The festival's second edition moved to Ukraine, taking place at the Lviv Palace of Arts and drawing more than 6,000 filmmakers from over 160 countries — pairing the screenings of winning short films with the opening of an exhibition of Max Sir's own paintings.

Now in its fourth year, the festival continues to grow into an internationally recognized event, giving participants access to a dedicated filmmakers' community platform, workshops from industry professionals, and awards designed and made by Max Sir himself.
